Beverley is a highly experienced and seasoned Crown Court Advocate with rights of audience in all criminal Courts, from the Magistrates’ Court to the Crown Court through to the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division).
She has a long-established and respected criminal law practice. Admitted as a Solicitor in 1992, Beverley has dedicated over three decades to criminal defence work and advocacy and has served as both a Court and Police station duty Solicitor since 1995. She has also assessed accreditation papers for aspiring Police station representative.

R v W – Joint Enterprise Murder
- Represented one of eight Defendants in a three-month murder trial stemming from a drug gang feud. The case involved extensive joint enterprise issues.
R v G – Rape (Multiple Complainants)
- Defended a man accused of raping three different women. All allegations were contested on the basis of consent. The Defendant was acquitted on all counts.
R v D – Murder (Diminished Responsibility)
- Represented the Defendant as led junior in a murder case involving extensive psychiatric expert evidence on diminished responsibility
R v B – Murder (Domestic & Drug-Related)
- Represented a Defendant in a murder case following a drug-fuelled domestic dispute. The case centred on complex forensic and telephone data.
R v H – Drug Offences (Police Misconduct)
- Case dismissed following legal submissions on Police breaches of codes of practice and insufficiency of evidence.
R v K – Conspiracy to Supply Cocaine
- Acted in a major regional crime squad investigation involving wholesale drug distribution between Cumbria and Liverpool.
R v F – Wounding with Intent (DNA Evidence)
- Represented a Defendant in a violent assault case involving detailed DNA analysis. Acquitted after trial.
R v L – Conspiracy to Handle Stolen Goods
- Represented a Defendant in a large-scale ‘car ringing’ operation across multiple regions.
R v B – Multiple ‘Gang’ Rapes
- Leading junior in a multi handed gang rape and organised county lines class A drug supply trial.
R v G – Historic Sexual Abuse (Multiple Complainants)
- Defended a client accused of rape and sexual assault by five family members over several decades. Acquitted on all charges.
